Regional Director job opportunity at an international hotel chain. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced General Manager in the hotel industry to take a step forward in their career!
The purpose of the role is to drive and be accountable for the operational and financial performance of the designated portfolio, responsible for achieving annual budget and leading hotel managers and their teams according to budget and standard procedures to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and improvement of the brand image.
Key responsibilities and activities:
* To oversee preparation and coordination of the annual budget and deliver against agreed targets including managing the P&L for the properties
* To lead the Hotel Managers and their teams in assistance and close relationship with the COO according to Budget and standard and procedures.
* To hold accountability of the efficiency/productivity of the company results
* To set up and achieve the financial targets
* To streamline operational procedures
* To launch new and existing concepts for meeting facilities, restaurant, bars and bedrooms.
* To ensure Quality through standards & procedures for trainings, guest and employee satisfaction surveys
* To create local and national marketing plans and pricing strategies and constantly improve knowledge of market segments. To Respond quickly to changing market conditions and revise strategies accordingly.
* To ensure all departments of every Hotel are profitable and maintain strong working relationships.
* To actively participate in sales discussions, meetings and plans, know key account executives and business base. To know monthly production levels for each sales person on the staff
* To promote Hotels' policies and philosophies to employees and guests through direct and indirect interaction
* To create the Hotels' annual budget and monitor the performance of the Hotels throughout the year
* To produce monthly financial reports and know at all times where the Hotels stand against budget
* To manage human resources functions of the Hotels by controlling turnover, motivating employees, focusing on employee development and retention and conducting regular employee meetings.
* To protect the Hotels and its assets through enforcing and ensuring that a preventative maintenance program is in place in each hotel.
* To provide executive leadership to the region in its strategic development and positioning; full profit and loss responsibility; budgeting and forecasting
* To build and maintain client's relations at the highest levels as well as evaluating, developing and executing partnerships and agreements that are strategic to our business objectives
* Responsibility for finance, marketing, operations, human resources, and business development.
* To maintain the highest standard of hotel operations
* To promote a culture of yield and revenue management throughout in order to maximize performance
Key skills and qualifications
* A minimum of 3-8 years hotel general management experience Fluency in English and Hungarian
* Educated to degree level from a reputable institution, preferably within a hospitality related discipline
* Highly developed leadership, analytical and commercial skills
* First rate presentation, written and verbal communication skills; the ability to share concepts and have them understood and accepted
* Complete integrity, objectivity and the ability to support ideas and concepts with valid examples and or statistical evidence
* The region requires a strong individual capable of managing different hotels. It requires a collaborative management style, capable of building a positive working atmosphere throughout the organization.
* A thorough understanding and experience of sales and marketing principles
* The ability to imagine, innovate and implement as well as communicating those innovations to others effectively
* Ability to anticipate, monitor and capture industry trends and apply these for the maximisation of revenue potential
